Jesus Steps In by Joanna Glass is an inspirational testimony combined
with beautiful illustrative artwork. Joanna’s life has not been easy, some
might say she has lived through the death of two dear husbands, one in which
caused her much agony, as his mental illness affected every part of their life.
His eventual suicide not only broke Joanna’s heart, but also broke her family,
affecting her two young children. Losing her second husband, who had given her
so much love, broke her heart and spirit.
Yet, Joanna’s family experienced the deep healing of Jesus, as
Joanna relied on Him every step of the way. Although her story is difficult, it
is also memorable and uplifting, as she discovered joy again after tragedy.
Through it all one thing is evident – the love of Jesus which has changed her
life for the better.
He has given her newness, new talents and an eternal new hope in
Him. Amazingly enough, the two new talents include writing and drawing. She
also never would have envisioned writing, as a previous dyslexic child, and one
who avoided words. She showcases her wonderful writing ability through short
timelines and snapshots of pivotal moments in her life, complimenting each
section with her other incredible talent, drawing – created for the reader to
enjoy also. The book is purposed to be interactive and a touching journey that
will leave readers in tears, with shouts of joy and an eternal hope in Jesus!
Jesus Steps In comes as one of those masterpieces that blends
the art of writing and the beauty of personal artwork. This book will help
readers to ponder their own lives and tackle difficult subjects such as a
broken spirit and depression. Joanna encourages readers that Jesus in their
lives can make them new again, and gives insight into His redeeming love,
presence, peace and joy that will transform one’s life.
A highly recommended read for those who need hope in the midst
or after trauma. This would also make a nice gift for someone going through a
tough time that needs encouragement, solace and new hope for a good future.
